Selsey Road (Sidlesham)
Street guide, Selsey
The stretch of the B2145 running through Sidlesham village, connecting Selsey with Chichester. This is the only road in and out of Selsey, and every vehicle entering or leaving the town passes along it. In Sidlesham, the road passes the Crab and Lobster pub, the village church, the turning for Sidlesham Quay and the RSPB Pagham Harbour visitor centre. The road is straight and flat, crossing the low-lying agricultural land of the Manhood Peninsula. Traffic can back up during summer weekends when visitors arrive at and depart from the holiday parks in Selsey. The road is lined with hedgerows and the occasional farmstead, with wide views across the flat fields.
