A residential road running north from the town centre, linking the High Street area with the newer estates on the northern side of Selsey. Hillfield Road has a mix of bungalows, semi-detached houses and some detached properties built across several decades. The road is well used as a route through the town, carrying traffic between the B2145 and the residential areas to the south. The Selsey Centre, incorporating the medical practice and community facilities, is accessed from this area. The road has a suburban feel, with front gardens, driveways and relatively generous spacing between properties compared to the older streets nearer the coast.
