East Beach Road
Street guide, Selsey
A road running along the back of East Beach, the working beach where Selsey's fishing fleet operates. East Beach Road has residential properties on one side and the beach, the fishermen's huts and the boat park on the other. The character is distinctly maritime, with the smell of salt, the sound of gulls and the sight of fishing boats hauled up on the shingle. Fresh crab and lobster can sometimes be purchased from the fishermen here. The road is popular with walkers heading along the coast towards Pagham Harbour. Properties along East Beach Road have direct views of the sea and the fishing activity.
