Church Norton Lane
Street guide, Selsey
A narrow lane running north from Selsey towards Church Norton, the site of the Saxon cathedral. Church Norton Lane is a quiet, rural road passing through flat agricultural land before reaching the hamlet of Church Norton and the entrance to the Pagham Harbour nature reserve. The lane is used by walkers, cyclists and birdwatchers heading for the harbour and the ancient chapel site. Parking is limited at Church Norton itself, and the lane is narrow enough that vehicles must pass with care. The views from the lane are of flat fields, distant hedgerows and the occasional glimpse of the harbour to the east.
