Bill Lane
Street guide, Selsey
A lane running south towards Selsey Bill, the southernmost point of the Manhood Peninsula. Bill Lane provides access to the coast at the Bill, where the RNLI lifeboat station stands at the end of its long walkway. The lane is residential for most of its length, with bungalows on both sides, but it opens out at its southern end to the foreshore, the sea defences and the rocky coastline. Walkers heading for the lifeboat station, the rock pools and the coast path use Bill Lane as the main approach. The lane has a quiet, end-of-the-road character that reflects its position at the very tip of the peninsula.
