RSPB Medmerry Reserve

Nature, Selsey

A coastal nature reserve created by the Medmerry managed realignment scheme, the largest in Europe when completed in 2013. The reserve covers approximately 183 hectares of salt marsh, mudflats and lagoons west of Selsey. Avocets, lapwings, little egrets and marsh harriers are among the species regularly seen. A circular walking and cycling path provides easy access around the perimeter of the reserve.
