Church Norton Chapel
Historic Site, Selsey
The remains of the original Saxon and medieval church at Church Norton, on the northern edge of the parish overlooking Pagham Harbour. The surviving chancel is believed to incorporate stonework from the cathedral established by Saint Wilfrid in 681 AD. The chapel stands in a peaceful churchyard among ancient yew trees and is one of the most historically significant sites in Sussex. Services are held here occasionally during the summer.
